QVA News

Since writing the last piece of QVA news I think the only event to write about is the children’s party which took place on Saturday 9th February.
Unfortunately there were very few children there this year, but for those that did come along it was a fun afternoon. Heidi Lee was back that weekend so she brought her 4 along and also Kerry Lee was there too with Maisie and Scarlet so it was great to have a catch up with them.
The children enjoyed a disco with some games and a foam machine which they thought was great, we had a break for food and then finished off with a few more games. I would like to thank Bridget and Deanne from Herrings Close for their help on the day and also Julie White for preparing some sandwiches for us. I think most of the food went down well.
It seems that perhaps this party has run its course so if anyone would like to suggest an alternative event for the children then we could give it a go next year.
We have a Barn Dance to look forward to on March 15th. If you haven’t been before then please come along as it’s a great night. Wide Glide will be providing the music an instruction and a buffet will be provided during the break. If anyone would like tickets then you can get them from a QVA committee member.
Future Events
Easter Bunny Hunt Wednesday 26th March
Walking Family Treasure Hunt Sunday 8th June
Rounders with Barbeque Friday 8th July
Look out for the posters in the shop window and the pubs for further details nearer the time.
