St Mary's Church

The three churches of St Mary's of Stow-cum-Quy, Holy Trinity of Bottisham and St James of Lode and Longmeadow were united into the Anglesey Benefice in 1999. The Vicarage is at Bottisham. Following the death of Val Brechin in January 2002 there will be no Priest in Charge until an appointment is made jointly by Trinity College, Cambridge and the Bishop of Ely.

The PCC consists of 13 members who meet bi-monthly. These include Lynn Hatley, the organist and Margaret Lowe who runs the Flower Fund and oversees the decorating of the church.

Church Services
Holy Eucharist services are held in Quy Church at 9.30am on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays and Evensong at 3pm on the third sunday. There is normally no service on the first Sunday in the month.
There are no other places of worship in Quy but nearby Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated each Sunday at 9.00am in Bottisham Church and there is a Baptist Chapel at Lode.

Quy Church Trust
Stow-cum-Quy Church Building Trust (known as Quy Church Trust) was set up in 1994 to raise funds independently of the Parochial Church Trust for the upkeep and maintenance of St Mary's parish church. Registered Charity No. 1043735.
Money is made available to the PCC on request for work on the building and contents. For example, Quy Church Trust paid for all the work to eradicate death watch beetle. Quy Church Trust organises fund raising events from time to time and has received generous donations, gift-aid, covenants and bequests.

Other Trustees are Chris Blackman, Margaret Lowe and Betty Rush.
