Editorial
Jackdaw Chatter - The Quarterly Magazine about Stow-cum-Quy
Hello
I cant believe that I am now approaching my second year as Editor.
I have had a really good time reading all the articles that have been placed
in this edition. A great big thank you to everyone who makes the effort to send
in articles for the Jackdaw as without these the magazine would certainly not
exist. I had a little chuckle to myself reading about the Jackdaw Christmas
meal and I could just imagine the Catering Quartet fly past and
the great time that was had there, almost makes me wish I was 60!!
Spring is certainly in the air and I have really enjoyed watching the wildlife
movements. I watched the swans the other day making their nest ready for this
years batch of cygnets and went home to get the camera ready for
the front cover. As I suspected
they had moved on and I had to wait ages
for them to return. When they finally did they would not go near the nest and
I had to make do with a picture of the two of them on the water, I hope you
like it anyway.
A special thanks to Jim Watts who has included in this edition an index for
those of you who like to keep your Jackdaw Chatter in order. This must have
taken absolutely ages (and a trip down Memory Lane) so thank you.
Best wishes must go to Bill Watts who tried to saw his own hand off fancy
blaming Jean!! Shame on you.
There is no Young Quy for this edition so apologies to you, but send in any
stories or pictures for the next edition.
There are lots of notices and dates for your diary so make a note of them and
I will see you in the Summer.
A very Happy Easter to you all, see you soon.
