Quy Art Group
Quy Art Group meets each Wednesday morning from 10 to 12 in Quy Village Hall. There are about 20 regular members from Quy and the surrounding area. Although there is no formal tuition, several members are experienced artists and are always willing to give of their expertise to others. Members bring their own painting materials using any media of their choice and their own subject matter. In the summer term, when weather permits, agreed locations are visited for painting.
Members exhibit at various local exhibitions and hold their own exhibition in October in Quy Village Hall when money is raised for a local charity. The Group makes a display of painting and flowers at Quy Church on Easter Monday and also at the Old Bakery in Lode.
